We have secured dates for a 4-day fantastic Spiritual Artist Retreat, May 23-27, 2027, at the Santa Fe Artist Getaway Studio. Event opening reception is from 4 pm - 7 pm on Sunday. Combine a welcoming space with loving, creative people and activate your Creative Intelligence! What's included:

Guided Artistic Exploration

Daily Spirit Circles led by CJMiller, author of The Spiritual Artist, focusing on Spiritual Asemic Writing, expressive mark-making, and Creative DNA discovery.

Workbook + Materials

Printed handouts, guided exercises, and all essential art supplies—arrive ready to create. You just bring your favorite acrylic paints.

Spiritual Practice & Presence

Grounding meditations, listening exercises, and a guided walk through the on-site labyrinth help deepen alignment with Creative Intelligence and reconnect you to inner stillness.

Group Painting & Asemic Repetition Exercises

Collaborative practices like asemic repetitions and dueling asemic designed to move you out of the thinking mind and into intuitive somatic flow.

A small group of like-minded creatives ready to grow, share, and explore in a safe and sacred space. You'll make new friends that last a lifetime.

The retreat fee is $1,250. Attendees are responsible for securing their own airfare and room accommodations at local hotels or B&Bs. Secure your space with a non-refundable $250 deposit. The remainder of the payment is due 60 days before the event.

The Wizardry of Crystal Nelson

At the Spiritual Artist Retreat, I’m grateful to be joined by Crystal Nelson, a process-driven mixed media abstract artist whose work is inspired by texture, shape, and color. Based in the DFW area, Crystal studied printmaking and painting at the University of Texas at El Paso and brings a deep knowledge of collage, color theory, and layering techniques. Her expertise and supportive spirit enrich the retreat experience, helping participants explore new creative approaches while uncovering their own artistic voice.

Large Expressive Painting

CJ and Crys will guide you from small to large; starting with building your own sketchbook and finishing on large 36 x 36"canvas. You'll find your empowerment as an Artist.

Sunsets & Stories

Enjoy incredible views and sipping wine while your class shares and inspires you.

Labrynth Ritual

Expand your creative suite by writing a short poem and building a sacred altar. CJ includes introspective exercises like a labyrinth walk.
